Swami Kriyananda has in his lifetime written close to 150 books on practical topics like leadership, health, relationships, success as well as topics of deep spiritual importance like symbolic meaning of the great scriptures such as the Bhagawad Gita and the Bible. He has also written 400 pieces of music and given thousands of lectures worldwide inspiring souls to the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda.
From his youth, Swami Kriyananda had dreamed of creating small communities based on cooperation and high ideals. When he became a disciple of Yogananda in 1948, he discovered that Yogananda, too, was committed to the ideal of “World Brotherhood Colonies”.
Kriyananda founded several communities, meditation groups, teaching enters and retreats around the world. People from all faiths and backgrounds are welcomed at Ananda for almost 50 years now.
