The importance of renouncing ego and becoming one with God is paramount. All people have a common goal: to realize that there is no separation between us and God.

We don’t renounce anything by renouncing ego. We gain everything that is God’s.  It’s the worldly people who are renunciates, because they have renounced God in exchange for worldly things that in the end, give nothing back. God will give you everything He has if you bring Him into your life.
