The theme of our upcoming celebration
on 23 November of Ananda's focus on world brotherhood communities,
its 5th anniversary in India, and the close of Swami Kriyananda's
60th anniversary of discipleship draws its theme from the title
of this recent book (above) by Swamiji very soon to be published
in this country.
For this reason, you'll no doubt be interested
in reading about it. Below are links to a catalogue description
of the book; an interview with Swamiji about it; testimonials
from others; and a number excerpts from the book itself.
In his book,
Swamiji explains:
This book is
a companion to my first one: Crises
in Modern Thought, which I have renamed Out
of the Labyrinth. In both books I took on, as
I stated in the Preface, "the big guns of Western Thought." It
has constantly amazed me how intelligent and even brilliant
people can be led so far astray from the truth by a
few false premises. I did my best in this book also
to simplify certain (to me obvious) truths, and to
show a constructive solution to countless dilemmas
of our times.
I have to add that this book is, in many
ways, one of my favorites.
We hope it will be one of your own as well.
