Learning to meditate is the most valuable gift you can give to yourself. Meditating will help you become inwardly peaceful and content, and able to reduce tension and stress at will. The meditation practices Ananda offers are based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda (author of  Autobiography of A Yogi). These teachings are nonsectarian and offer practical solutions to the challenges of modern life.

In our Introduction to Meditation course, you’ll learn the Hong Sau meditation technique. It’s a simple technique with three phases: relaxation, concentration, and Self-expansion. Most students, with regular practice, see positive changes in both their inner and outer lives within a short period of time.

In this course, you’ll also learn how to increase your physical and mental energy at will through the practice of Paramhansa Yoganandaji’s Energization Exercises. These exercises enable you to tap into, then eventually control and direct, the limitless, universal source of cosmic energy. This energy can be used for the improvement of your health, relationships, work, meditation practice….virtually all areas of your life. Other practices taught in this course include pranayama, ananda yoga, and affirmations.

Upon completion of the Introduction to Meditation course you will have the tools to continue meditation as a life long practice, and to bring your newly found peace of mind into all your daily activities. You would then be eligible to learn the advanced meditation techniques and philosophy starting with The Art & Science of Raja Yoga, should you desire to dive more deeply into Yoganandaji’s teachings, and/or proceed toward Kriya Yoga Initiation.

Whether you are interested in managing stress or in exploring the spiritual side of meditation you will feel welcome. Ananda offers series of classes on introduction to meditation and courses designed to guide you through the process of preparing to learn Kriya Yoga, a technique made popular by Paramhansa Yogananda. Experienced instructors provide a quality learning environment, with time for individual questions and in-depth exploration. Each class includes guided and silent practice time. Ananda has many meditation groups and centers in India that offer regular meditation classes and continued support of your practice.

THE ART AND SCIENCE OF RAJA YOGA

This 14 week online course is the most comprehensive course on yoga and meditation. In this second step , on the path of Kriya Yoga you will learn how to apply the ancient principles of yoga to every aspect of your life: affirmations, healing, philosophy, lifestyle, meditation, and diet.
