Swami Kriyananda Dedicates Ananda's 1st Kriya Yoga Community in India 27 February–1 March, 2009 A special weekend retreat 27 February to 1 March 2009 in Pune, India, will bring together spiritual seekers and Ananda members from India, Europe, and America. The retreat, held in past years in the northern city of Gurgaon (the Kriya Yoga and Mahasamadhi Retreats) will be in Pune, near Mumbai, to dedicate Ananda's 1st Kriya Yoga community in India. We'll celebrate through group meditations, presentations, and classes led by Ananda acharyas, focussing on the realisation of Paramhansa Yogananda's dream for the establishment of "world brotherhood colonies" in all lands. Ananda's founder, Swami Kriyananda, is expected to speak and will lead the dedication ceremony on the site of our new community, located in the countryside outside the city. You'll be able to visit our newly purchased land and to add your blessings to this historic occasion. Deep inspiration comes when we share, and tangibly express, our ideals with others of similar spiritual interests. A tentative schedule is below. Classes, meditations and other programmes on Friday and Saturday will take place at the retreat venue in the city of Pune. The Sunday programme will be at the new Ananda India property about an hour's drive away. For a list of hotels in Pune, and for further details, e-mail ananda@anandaindia.org . Immediately following this retreat
we plan a 4-day Ananda pilgrimage, "Spiritual
Highlights of Maharashtra", 2-6 March. We'll visit and meditate in the
Ajanta and Ellora caves, Shirdi Sai Baba Ashram, and the temples of Nasik,
Trimbakeshwar, and Grishneshwar. Please inform us soon if you are interested
in this pilgrimage. Visit: www.anandapilgrimages.org or
e-mail us. TENTATIVE SCHEDULE Friday, 27 February
