All around India, Ananda Sangha is increasingly attracting friends, devotees, and committed members to a variety of opportunities in places of learning, spiritual suppport, and fellowship. Many of these locations offer a full curriculum of studies based on the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda.
Our central location is one of Ananda residential "worldwide brotherhood communities", wonderfully dynamic places to learn the full range of Paramhansa Yogananda’s teachings and apply them in daily life. View a brief video of this concept.
Residential Communities

We are well along in building India's 1st residential community between Pune and Lavasa. Like other Ananda communities in the USA and Europe, it's comprised of flats for members; a temple; and Ananda-affiliated businesses such as organic gardening, solar heating, a medical clinic, and a little store offering an appealing variety of uplifting products.
Also available on the land are a guest retreat facility, dorms, and tents for weekend programme participants or individual seclusion.
In the not-too-distant future, we are planning to open a school offering Ananda's acclaimed "Education for Life" approach to learning, similar to our school now operating in Gurgaon. Meanwhile, we are beginning to offer children's educational activities.
Leading the community are acharyas who live at the complex and give regular classes and spiritual services. When Swami Kriyananda is in India (which he considers home), he and his staff stay here as well. A small group of men and women monastics also live on the land, along with several volunteers from several countries.
Some 25 families and individuals will be moving to the land later in 2011 when construction of their flats is completed.

Centres
Ananda teaching centres offer classes, workshops, services, and retreats led by certified Ananda teachers and regularly visited by Ananda acharyas.

Groups
Ananda meditation groups are places of spiritual suppport for like-minded souls. Regular meetings are held, often in homes of members, to practise the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda. Although these groups are usually comprised of 3 to 12 participants, some are larger and meet at public facilities.

Virtual Community
Do you live far from any of our locations? Or have a schedule that would make it hard for you to come to one even in your area? Then perhaps the worldwide Virtual Community is for you. Sponsored by Ananda Online Classes, the Virtual Community uses cutting-edge Web technology to bring guided yoga and meditation sessions, private classes, discussions, webinars, and much more to your home, wherever you are, for spiritual support, inspiration, and fellowship. Many across India have joined fellow seekers from other countries in this innovative endeavour.
